ADHD Assessment

I offer ADHD assessments for adults who want real clarity on whether ADHD explains what they're experiencing. The process takes place over a few sessions: a structured clinical interview (DIVA-5) and psychometric testing to build a full picture of your history and current functioning, followed by a written report covering your results, personalized recommendations, and suggestions for further treatment.

I approach assessment the same way as therapy: the relationship comes first. A good evaluation isn't something done to you, it's something we work through together, and I try to make that process feel collaborative rather than clinical and cold. If your situation calls for a more comprehensive neuropsychological workup than I provide, I'll help you find the right person for that too.

I work with clients aged 12 and up and specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and those navigating OCD, ADHD, ASD, life transitions, parenting and family issues, adjustment challenges, divorce, polyamory, and young men’s mental health. I also have extensive experience working with children and teens, having engaged in educational and clinical work with kids since the age of 19.

I believe the most important factor in therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive space where clients can explore their challenges, learn new strategies, and experience meaningful growth. If a client doesn’t feel like we’re the right fit, I help them find someone better suited to their needs.

EMDR is a therapy approach designed to help the brain process and release distressing memories, emotions, and experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR does not require you to explain or relive every detail of a difficult experience. Instead, it uses forms of bilateral stimulation (BLS), such as guided eye movements, taps, or sounds, to help your brain reprocess these memories in a safe and structured way.

EMDR is highly effective for a wide range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, and stress-related concerns. Many clients find it particularly helpful when traditional talk therapy feels overwhelming or slow, because it allows change to happen without needing to talk through everything in detail.

I invite anyone interested in therapy or EMDR to reach out and learn more about my services. I offer a free consultation to discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine if my approach is the right fit for you. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but I’m here to provide a supportive and welcoming space to explore your options and begin your journey toward meaningful change.
